Defender rear tail lights and rear wiper erratic behaviour
Hi lads, I have an odd problem with my 2007 110 H/T. The rear lights are all working but not as they should be Crying or Very sad the indicators stop working if you put Yor foot on the brake and stay on,and the parking lights will flash if you put the indicator on, and to top it all off the rear wiper has stopped working or when I put it on the tail lights come on?
I can't see any obvious fault in the loom as I stripped it back to the y piece at the back of the rear crossmember.
It's driving me nuts Shocked
Any ideas?

Lord that was quick! Where would it be earthed? I only ask because on the lorry it's bolted to the chassis directly behind the battery box.

Does indeed sound like an earthing fault.

not 100% on this , but I know there is a earth on to the transfer gearbox opposite side to the battery up beside the drivers side sit box in the gap between chassis and transfer , I think it may be for back light etc as the loom to rear runs on that side

If you mean this connector then yes, thats the earth for the rear lights etc.
