Spot wiring
Does anyone know....is it possible to wire two wipac 100w spots into the main beam circuit? Ie...just tapping into it so they work with the normal full beam? Someone told me the wattage/draw (or whatever??) will melt the wiring loom?

Sort of, wire the spots through a relay which is triggered by a feed from the high beam circuit. Have a search on this forum, there's the search button on the header at the top or just use google.

It will blow the fuse, Censored up the switch and possibly melt the wiring.
Needs to be independently fused and relayed with a trigger tap taken from the main beam.
In other words no extra load on the Defender harness.

Here is a diagram:

The override switch is optional and only further complicates the wiring.
You would however need a switch for roof lights to be legal.

I used a bolt on bits kit to fit my spots - wasn't worth making my own for this price: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Spot-light-l...35c1c891ff
