My 2001 Epsom Green 90 CSW

Hi Guys,

Thought I would share a picture of my low mileage 2001 90 CSW in Epsom Green, after give it a good clean up after not being able to drive for three months!

Now I have made a decision for its long term future! A few weeks ago I visited my local franchise dealer to price up an equivalent'ish vehicle and now have decided to save for a restoration fund instead of replacement Smile

Will be replacing anything steel with Galvanised or Stainless steel, rubber seals and then a light bodywork and a re spray... Will look the same but just long lasting!

Hello Andy80

Nice looking 90, when you say low mileage, what has it done?
in some respects it doesn't matter as 'care of ownership' will often trump distance traveled.

A clean, 'straight paneled' near standard Defender always looks good. SKIP

Might sound silly, but does it really need a respray and all the bits galvanized as looks amazing and with that mileage as-well. Does the photo flatter it then or are you very particular? In the picture from what I can see it looks like new! Very Happy
It wasn't from colchester was it as looks very familiar to a lovely one I see Defender puma dormobile camper

It was supplied New from Lookers at Chelmsford.

I'm pretty particular to be honest and maybe won't need a full re spray, but by time localalised are completed a respray is just as quick Smile

On the corrosion side of things there's a few small bubbles here and there hence the localised repairs required...... Working towards Carry on camping!

Not tryin to preach but choose your body shop wisely,it will look like dogs*t if a "know it all" does it.Seen too many amatuers make a car look 110% worse and actually claim it looks better.
Looks a good example (unless that pics is 8 year old, lol) hope you keep it that way Thumbs Up . Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Agree.
It's a great looking original unit, which ok, might need a bit of "TLC" to keep it mint, but nothing over the top, just a bit here & there, where it's needed, is all I'd do, if it were mine.
Cheers, Pickles.

Just seen this thread....what a lovely clean looking motor.

I would think very hard though before having any major paintwork done if it's only to deal with minor issues. As the saying goes, you can only have original paint once.....and once you've painted over it, it becomes 'just' another painted Landrover.

Yours really is a beaut and it should be allowed to wear it's little imperfections with grace Very Happy
