No idea
Just wondering if / how it links into the ecm / calibration The wire seems like it's burnt / wire is brittle? if not a good connection could it affect engine running? |

would you say noise is more like a clatter then a knock , like you would say you would get from a bit of petrol has gone in rather then diesel ( not saying you put petrol in ) , or sprayed bit of easy start in .
and does it do it after starting and running only few minutes ( cold ) and as you change gear |

Yes it does sound like a clatter a d i'm actually starting to wonder if it might be mechanical like the clutch?
There doesn't seem to be any consistency as to when it does / doesn't happen.... When it doesn't happen the engine / transmission is running really really well and as such makes it that much more frustrating (knowing how well it can run).... |

right I asked someone about what I think your noise is
does it do it after sitting few days if so answer hp pump drying out , cure ? fuel running back ? or timing error for split second , cure? heard of one doing much the same , but sorry to say never found cause or cure as it only done it half a dozen times then never again !!!!!! |

No can't say leaving it a few days is likely to cause problem.
But yes to me it's like the timing has gone out of sync......... Never found cure you say...... ![]() |

never found cause or cure , it stopped doing it !
think to be honest you maybe better off leaving it with someone to use it and poss found problem , I have had to do this in the past to find problem with customers cars if not doing it all the time , sometimes it's only way I used to take them home with me and drive normally hot , cold , short , long runs etc |

Biggest drive today since having new turbo and.......
I'm thinking the engine might be 'bang on '.......(might ![]() ....so what part of the transmission causes that characteristic clatter and what causes it to be more or less obvious? |

It's a Land Rover it is bound to make banging and clattering noises.
