Switch for work light
Hi all, Just picked up a one year old 110 today, huge smile on my face, keep running out to look at it! I have two questions that I hope don't sound too stupid.....I'm a newbie on this site along with this being my first Defender.
1. There is a work light at rear but am unable to find a switch, I forgot to ask the dealer, any ideas!
2. There appear to be wires going to my mirrors, could they be heated/are they linked to heated windscreen?
Jim.

Have a look at the light - it may have a switch on the light body and the light may come on with sides or when the vehicle is in reverse ... just a thought .,., Embarassed Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html

If it's not wired and no switch , then keep it easy and take it down to the rear window de mister . The wiring and switch is already there . That's presuming you don't use the window .

If a land rover work light there is a big turn switch on the back of the light body usually powered as ignition live so cannot be left on - that's my guess

Heated mirrors is a guess of how wired as DIY fitment but very nice this weather - usually wired with front screen

Had one of those lights fitted to me 300tdi 90, as pjb says large turn switch on rear. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Think dealers sometimes put the switch on the inside immediately behind the light itself - I guess you have already looked there though!

Edit: This is sometimes installed as an addition to the switch on the light itself 300 TDi 110 CSW

Awesome looking truck! Yes as mentioned the light is switched at the light itself, on the back.

As for heated mirrors, brilliant, when did they get added to the XS/Winter pack? Craig Rogers

Hi all, many thanks for all your kind replies.
Yes, the mirrors are linked to the heated window and Arc & PJB, you were correct, the switch is on the back of the light. Did 500 km in it today, great fun and enjoying it immensely.
The only negative that I have is the LR stereo, it's c..p!
Thanks again, Jim

Its made by Lucas! Smile Normally the bulb has blown if its not working, failing that its a wiring fault or dirty contacts on the switch through lack of use! Smile

it's the one sold by lr as an oem item.

usual suspect when not working is the switch contacts being out of alignment with the rotating knob.
