Military Dacia Duster

Seems Romania is looking to replace their Aro's (Romanian version of a Defender I think) and Hummers with a military version of the Duster...

It's all about capability in the military and whether a particular platform meets the requirement. If the Dacia does then why not? We only have a handful of Defenders in the army now and we routinely use L200s and other euro boxes on contract hire. You certainly won't see Defenders on operations these days.

Don't confuse Romania with France and Italy.

They have quite a decent military history, albeit have a thing for suddenly switching sides (eg. jumped to the Allied side in '44 w/o informing their erstwhile Nazi comrades).

The base spec version of the Dacia Duster I think is excellent value for money
