Hi there, I searched the forum and couldn't find anything similar.
Basically I've just bought a 2011 truck cab and will be changing it to a mohair soft top, my question is im having the frame made and galvanised by a specialist and getting the Exmoor hood. Can any of you point me towards where I can purchase the front header rail? Its normally aluminium, but I cant find a seller anywhere of one for a puma. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tom ![]() |

Hi Tom, There`s a couple on Ebay at the moment. See item eBay Item No. 171139698158 and item eBay Item No. 281214944520. Which one you need will depend on how the hood fixes to the header rail not whether it is a Puma or not. There is the early type to suit the normal canvas type hood and the later type to suit the newer PVC wolf style. Not sure what style your mohair hood will be. Perhaps exmoor trim can advise which type header you need? Hope this helps! Cheers! Donald

I got a load of soft top bits from All wheel trim in Witney.... much friendlier (IMO) than exmoor trim.
Edit: Witney, not Abindon.. my bad. Last edited by diesel_jim on 28th Nov 2013 7:47pm. Edited 2 times in total |

Thanks Every one,
Ill give them both a ring to see, only reason for favouring the Exmoor myself was that in the pictures it comes a bit further down the sides for the push on clips, as my pickup has a rear 3/4 mohair hood on at the moment and the poppers are on the alloy further down as opposed to the steel capping's so wanted to use those rather than having another set lower down. Ill speak with them anyway to discuss it and see if they do something similar. Cheers for all the help, have been missing a soft top since I got rid of my old series and love the look of a defender with the sides rolled up! ![]() |
