Tiger, Thanks. From that diagram, does it appear that the lights are not mounted on the bar, but on a bracket, mounted on the body, behind the bar?
Cheers, Pickles. |

The disruptions show a bracket attached to the bumper. Drilled through the top of the bumper

Looks more like two positions, outside of the lights or inside the lights. All depends on whether you drill through the top of the bumper using the template and fix with bolts showing on the top or you fix the bracket on the rear strengthening brace which then has no visible fixing.

Here is ours when new
![]() Lights are pretty good and the mounting position is a little odd looking. Since replaced with some small Durite lights. Stu |

Honker, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
That is the first picture of the mounted lights that I've seen, so were they mounted on the bumper bar (holes drilled in it) or on the "supporting beam", as another has mentioned. Your info is GREATLY appreciated, from an Aussie, where this info is not available. Thank You, Pickles. |

Landy. I hear what you say. As I've said, they do look "odd". But without an A Bar there is little alternative other than to place them there. Were yours mounted viia drilled holes in the bar or via the alternative method via the "structural beam"?....by that I presume some part of the frontal body?...What part of the body is that, & how were yours mounted?
Information will be greatly appreciated. Pickles. |

The structural beam method is for winch bumper fitting.
No reason why you couldn't fit it there on a normal bumper unless it's not got same reinforcement |

They do look wrong on the bumper, bit Mickey Mouse
Why not get one of these? ![]() Click image to enlarge Or fabricate something similar, to my mind although the above is better, they still don't sit quite right. Closer and higher they need to be. Still no drilling ![]() ![]() |

Tiger, I do agree with you.
Haven't seen that light mounting bar in Aus, so I don't have that option. Regards, Pickles. |

The outer ones on mine were just mounted via holes drilled in the bumper. There was no reinforcement, and I personally don't think any would be required. But they did mount them too far back so were rubbing the light surround trims.

As Andy says 2 holes drilled through bumper. Nicely rusting now....
