td5 rear heated screen
hello,

I have put landy glass on the back of my 90 and i have done the back door myself as well, i am wanting to rewire the heated screen so that from the switch, it will power a rear led worklight (already in position).

Any ideas on changinmg the relay or voltage, it doesn't give through a 12v coz all the heating wires would fry.

I neede advice on how, where and which.

thanks.

The whole idea of the relay is to allow max power through without damaging the switch, so I'd just connect the wires at the back to your lamp instead of the screen. Simples ?! It will only work with ignition on though !

Don't bother with tapping into the heated screen, it means more power drain when the engine is off which defeats the point of LEDs. Also you have security issues by leaving the key in the ignition, and you can't drive on the road and use the heated screen at the same time Laughing

There is a permanent live power feed at the back inside which you can use, you could add a simple switch Thumbs Up
