I am about to congratulate another council! Embarassed Embarassed

Bradford Council has decided that we can now put plastic bottles into the glass and cans recycling bin. Thumbs Up Also they will collect recycling stuff once every two weeks rather then once a month Thumbs Up

Before we had to collect them and take them to the local tip so someone at Bradford council has seen sense so Thumbs Up

Problem I have in Cambridge is fitting in any of the car parks. Even the park and ride is too low. Are there any car parks without height restrictions?

How tall is your 110 Andy? It should fit in Queen Anne's car park next to swimming pool opposite Parker's Piece. Both 110 and 90 used to go in there. There is also a small car park by river Cam off trumping ton road, but it's small and is soon full. Only other option I can think of is parking meter bays or roads around backs with no parking restrictions and then a 10-15min walk in.

Cheers

Steve

Thanks. But don't fit in them as I'm 2.2 meters high, so only options is meters on the road, and there hard to find and costly. Will have to stick with going in the wife's freelander. Whistle

Thanks Thumbs Up

2.1 mtrs is the minimum clearance for a standard Defender.

Good news about the visas Pam Thumbs Up Assume you did not go for a multiple entry one as that takes longer.

Well the AUD has to fall a long way against the £ until it is back to 1 AUD = 40p but at least it is a move in the right direction.

Do not worry about the costs too much, just go and enjoy!

The Visa Grants both came back as 'multiple entry', even though I definitely ticked the box for single entry... So dunno why that was... maybe something to do with the changes they made in the summer... replaced the old Subclass 607 with a new one - the 600... so maybe if you meet certain criteria you automatically get multiple ? Who knows ?!!

But yes, got a bit stressed about the money last night, but reorganised a few things and feeling better! Thumbs Up Our blog - http://landytravels.com/

Middlesbrough Council had some strange charges for on street parking, something like £2.00 for 2 hours and £2.40 for 24 hours. They have suspended parking fees in some parts of the town Centre and around Middlesbrough College .

Anyone know about parking a Defender in York?

The last time we went nearly took the roof off a Range Rover classic when they put height barriers on the one in St mary's Walk with giving any notice or warning. When I complained I was told "We don't need people like you in our Town" so we havn't been back for 20 years. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

You don't need full visa for Australia if you are there for 3 months or less - you can just get free 'ETA' type one. We are going for over 4 months though so had to apply for the next level visa - the 600 - for up to 6 months, which costs AUD130... Our blog - http://landytravels.com/
