[Sold] Genuine L/R Side Windows.
***SOLD***

Take out set of genuine side windows, these will be carefully removed from my 90 next week. These are green tinted from factory but have a 95% film tint applied on the inside that can be easily removed. Will throw the rear quarters in for free.

Asking £150.00 for the pair plus post and packaging if required.

Best pictures I can provide at the moment.

Are these pretty leak proof? Mine could do with changing. I'm very tempted.

Do these ones bond into the side panel. or pop riveted?

Anyone know, if you have pop riveted in windows, whether you can retrofit bonded in ones without any hassle? the edge of the frame should cover the rivet holes i'd imagine?

Jim,

These are riveted I believe. (Killer would be able to clarify). I have made it perfectly clear these windows need to be removed carefully as they will be hopefully sold on. These sliders do NOT rattle or leak in the normal course of use. Nevertheless unsurprisingly they will let in water if you apply a hose directly at the sliding overlap of the windows I have discovered whilst cleaning.

Hope this helps. Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Excellent... mine leak even if you stand next to them drinking a glass of water.

Ok, sold (assuming they come out in one piece/straight) I don't need the rear quarters though, so feel free to sell them on.

For your information you can retrofit bonded windows no problems. I've done this to my 1989 sw. 1997 Ex-MOD 110, Pop Top Camper, build thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72352.html

Thumbs Up Aslong as the original riveted windows are the genuine land rover fitted from factory ones then the bonded ones will fit no problem at all Thumbs Up Mr. Green Mr. Green CSK Automotive

Jim,

Was reliably informed this morning on delivering my Landy for fitment of the Landyglass that there is a misconception (I thought they were rivetted too) that people think the side windows are rivetted in. They are in fact bonded on my model/year of truck. Have sent you a 'pm.' If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

That's genuine Wiltshire fungi I'll have you know! Laughing

They're leaking like a good'un at the moment... it's persisting down here now.
