appaloosadude - good thought. hadn't considered that.
will keep an idea on it. DW - what happened to the 110 and didn't the fuel filter prevent any problems? |

Basically, changed fuel filter due to picking up sediment in tank .
Not sure what then caused problem, possibly blocked/damaged lift pump in tank but engine wasn't drawing fuel (enough anyway) but instead some air. Running very badly, tried to bleed to no avail. Now seems like lift pump or tank had blockage, which meant that air was drawn , possibly at filter. Now seems like injector pump was damaged by continuous drawing of air. But still not 100% sure Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Dealer replaced my fuel filter during scheduled service few weeks ago. Had been there a year, and was clean. I only use BP Ultimate diesel, but must admit, here in Switzerland there is just no bio-diesel at all, neither B5 nor B10. Bio-diesel never passed the test here and is still banned. Which we can afford to do since we are not part of EU, so we don't need to bow for Brussels Eurocrats decisions. We happily keep on B-zeroing here.
