Defender flip key?
Is it possible? Not looking for any more functionality, just the tidiness that a flip key brings and the lack of need for a jangly key ring?

Also does anyone know the cost of having a new keyrong programmed by land rover? Just interested... Cheers, David

Actually, just seen this...

(Not a UK seller though)

Or maybe get a Discovery 3/Range Rover key altered to fit? Key housings are available very cheaply!

I can supply the above key - and have it pre cut ready to use.

I have one of the original prototypes for my Defender and has been excellent.

I have my tailor let in a chamois leather pouch for my car keys in the waistband of all the work trousers he makes me, saves all that unpleasant jangling. Most people on the Row will carry out work like this for a modest additional charge Wink Steve.

Ok, I'll let you know when I get down to that on my list! (If I buy out of order I end up broke :/ )

Does look a good piece of kit! Cheers, David

Anyone know if a D3 key can be cut to match a Tdi key? Not worried about the electrics, just the main key.

I really can't imagine getting the d3/Rr key to work? The innards would be completely different? There are cheapie kits on eBay which involve taking the innards out of the fob and sticking them into another key, but they need to be glued together which I imagine would lose the battery change capability, and the quality looks iffy.. Cheers, David
