ginjez Member Since: 18 Sep 2011 Location: huddersfield Posts: 1771	110 DC spare wheel mount Click image to enlarge With the lack of space in the rear tub I thought I'd relocate the spare wheel to mount on the wheel box to make more room. I got a 6mm alloy plate 600x300 folded at a right angle to make 500x300 with 100mm fold. Fixed the alloy to the wheel box and to the tub and then utilised the extg wheel mount to hold spare in place

I am surprised the DC has the sloping wheel boxes and not the square type like in the HT. I didn't consider swing away as it restricts loading or else I would hae got a Ute

Hi Great! Did you fit any reinforcement bracket/plate under the wheel arch? Or on the edge where you have those screws?
