2001 TD5 - all metric..?
I'm looking to buy a socket set and want to know if I can get away with a metric only for my TD5. This will travel in the car.

I have both metric & AF at home and can't recall if I have had to use the AF sizes or not.

Cheers

All metric will be fine, although i think the propshaft bolts may still be 9/16 AF. 2005 Td5 90 XS

Hmm, I was thinking of buying the Halfords Pro set in metric, but might get the mixed set. Prop shaft might be one of the items that needs attention on the trail.

Thanks for the response.

Cheers

Just buy a single 9/16 AF socket why pay for a load of others you may never use.Mind you a 7/16 is sometimes handy to hammer on to a rounded off 11mm. 2005 Td5 90 XS

You can get a specific prop shaft socket which makes the job easier. Getting normal sockets on can be a bit of pain.
