Anyone pulled a GKN overdrive to bits?
As per title really.

I think I'm going to have to strip mine out to change the cone clutch and/or the one way bearing, and was wondering if anyone had done anything similar.

Martin at D44 tells me its do-able for a competent spanner-er, so I think I should be ok... However, its much better to learn from other peoples mistakes than your own ( and cheaper!!)

GKN Overdrive
Hi did you strip it down yet? did mine a year ago, if you go onto google and look up gkn & laycock overdrives you'll find a layout drigram , gkn took over the old laycock design which was fitted to BL cars and instead of drive going in / out either end to in / out same end , it was ok to strip and re build but easier with an extra pair of hands , if you need the diagram I will add it here 2014 2.2 90 hard top , Warm M8000 , Scorpain winch bumper, Ashcroft rear atb
