Indeed, was 10 degrees on on the forecast but might have been warmer. There have been a couple of weeks of rain and have shot 2 days in a row; day one covered the Landy in mud, day 2 put another layer on top and it is an inch thick in places! Big clean tomorrow!!

Used as a dining table. Drove through a river. Changed reverse light switch. Which by the way was a horrible job

Hi! Just out of curiosity, is that a td5? Was wondering if I fitted a reverse camera and extra light, whether I would fit the connectors straight to the rear light or whether to run it to the switch... Early days in thoughts yet so havnt even looked where the switch is, but by your picture I'm guessing under the cubby box? Looks like I did it for you! New reverse light on order.
Fitted the YRM under cubby tool box tray, added some foam strip around the outside edge to act as a seal. Tested my spare crank sensor and that works, so left it in and cleaned up the old one. Cleaned the MAP sensory in the inlet manifold Checked fluids. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

TD5 yes. Get a piggy back loom from MUD and plug it into the reverse light. Will be considerably easier. I have one of them for my work light at the rear that feeds of my standard reverse light wiring. |

New year...seat re-trim! Despite being 22 years old the original seats were in surprisingly good condition, but decided it was time for something fresh. Couldn't find a re-trim kit in the original cloth (Rayleigh?) so went for Techno, which I think looks great.
Went for the Britpart kits instead of Exmoor, purely on cost - overall i'm really impressed with them, although clipping the 2 ends of cover together at the bottom of the seat back was horrendous - not sure if I did something wrong, took a long time and man-handling but got there in the end. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge |
