Been very remiss at putting anything on this page for a while but today I took the old girl down to Chichester and back for a run (needed to go for work with limited tools).

Since she has been off the road for a while MOT expired and knew it needed new track rod ends (why do the rubber boots perish so quickly on them?) then remembered it needed the timing belt doing (possibly nearly 2 years overdue..... slap wrists moment).

All of this has been sorted for a couple of weeks and she's been driven a bit more I started to remember things that weren't quite right but not bad enough to warrant getting too cold to sort out, but enough is enough so it was time to sort it.

In the last couple of weeks the list of things I've done are as follows:

-Track Rod Ends

-New Double DIN Pioneer head unit (replaces Single DIN and separate camera screen) strangely this didn't sort the missing bass so.....

-In Phase USW10 mounted to rear of cubby (that's better)

-New Carling style rocker switches to replace the failing Exmoor Trim ones (they have done 7 years so can't complain) have been purchased with a view to fitting tomorrow

-Shopping list of replacement Carling rockers with logo's for RWW, Worklight, Light Bar, Heated Seats and reversing Camera has been drawn up which should make the Consoles look better (they're currently all unlabelled except the RWW).

-Snapped the plastic on the key so bought the Bling stainless One (probably Britpart or Exmoor Trim not really sure) fitted that this evening.

I think it's just time to drive her and enjoy her for a bit (after the seat heater switches are replaced tomorrow). 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

No connection with the guys, but these are boots that last. Just replace them on new ball joints, and no worries for a very long time.

Looking better at pic now you can see the area has a red tinge on it. The leak might just be that crappy looking jubilee clip, and then being blown around by the fan if your lucky.

Agree that the Gwyn ones are good and come with grease nipple, so be maintained.

To this somewhat improved mess:

And this instead of the Alpine flip-out unit:

I really wanted to have Apple CarPlay (wireless) and it seems to work fine. Still figuring out how everything works (TPMS, DAB+, OBDII). Added some additional USB's as well:

And the camera's I already had are still working fine:
