A few weeks ago I cracked the air filter housing removing the lid and snapped off one of the rear clips , then last week when adjusting the play in the steering box , snapped a huge chunk trying to remove it . Enough’s enough and I’ve never liked it so fitted a Nugget Stuff filter and housing . Already have a nugget stuff air intake pipe having binned the LR excuse so now have a fully sealed system that can breathe !
Also having been waiting an age for a Mantec G4 style snorkel came up on eBay, it’s in like new condition so plumbed that In as well . Had to file 1mm of plastic off the Inner edge of the nuggetstuff bit connected to the inside wing for it to fit but now it’s spot on . Oh and bought a defender for my brother which is in amazing condition with low mileage for a great price . Very standard but it’s a great starting point . He’ll be joining defender 2 shortly with his first question being , how do you remove a front wheel flange that has corroded itself to the halfshaft ?! After sitting on the fence for a while, decided that a rear step was needed after all. Picked up a second hand one on Ebay and fitted today. Had to weld a little extra on to it to make it fit with the towbar but a quick job in the end.

Fitted my own version of the Naka spare wheel carrier door plate as the TMD one bangs like hell. It still rattled though. For those with the Naka version, do you wind out the bump stop to keep everything tight?

Did some work in the garden and put the 90 to work moving 1600kgs of materials to use, it took it in its stride more than I can say for me!
