United Kingdom 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Zermatt Silver
Fitted a bridge across the clutch switch and FINALLY after four years of tolerating the accelerator pedal having mind of its own it now does what my right foot is telling it to do!!!!

Finding this hack is a classic example of why this is such a great forum!

Similar for me - trying some spring isolators on the front - just waiting for the turrets to arrive.

Unless you're planning to fit them top and bottom to gain a bit of height, they really should be fitted at the top to get the most out of them. Then, if you do that the Disco II version is a better bet as it effectively has a built in securing ring and better protected bolts:

You won’t regret the castellated spring isolators. I have them on mine top and bottom all around with D44 turrets.
They give a little lift but remove a lot of mild vibration from the road. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

Yes, fit them top and bottom. Thumbs Up

I’ve also got the Disco 2 ones at the top as well.

Gives a much nicer ride.

Sorry to be thick but what’s the reason for the spring isolators? What do they do?

Simply reduce road vibration when put on the top of the spring ....less effective on the bottom.

looks like you have already bought the top turret spacer so the disco ones would be a waste of cash just use the castellated rubber ones top and bottom!some folk pay the extra expense and buy the land rover ones but as long as you dont get them from pound and the mid price range ones are ok!
