Allisport have a big history of cracking intercoolers which has supposed to have been sorted but I still see it popping up regularly. Some people on here don’t seem to like it being mentioned because theirs is fine......... for the moment!

Agree with Ray here, mine was ok until it developed a hole Sad in the end i had to get mine welded up as there was no other firms that did full size intercoolers for the Tdi's ( all in Millie's thread ) Rolling Eyes 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Blimey a hole?????? Shocked

So what other brands out there are trustworth and have a great product??

As mentioned I find my flagging when it gets hot (temp gauge midway) And will be looking for a better Fan, Rad, and intercooler when funds are available... Regards

The below one simply is the best intercooler that exists. Produced in Germany, and in the U.K. available from Alive Tuning, or here on the continent from Entreq, possibly others. Mine was supplied by Entreq. Not cheap, but quality which won’t split.

http://motorsport.alivetuning.com/product/...tercooler/ You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Bold claim Eric. What do you base that on?

Only I'm pretty sure Bowler/PWR, BAS , JE etc would disagree with you.

That's very local to me! Poor thing sits out all year, roof off all summer, but it's used daily. James

Fitted Glyn Lewis rear cross member protection panels in place of the standard ones, these were purchased from a fellow forum member.

I was surprised how much dried on mud there was behind the standard items to the rear of the back lights. Also the seat belt support brackets were starting to corrode along with the fasteners.

Now my DEF lives in a nice cosy garage and isn't off roaded, so I would recommend everyone has a look behind the standard mud shield.

Doing both sides took me 3 hrs including getting the tools out spraying some wax about and putting everything way again, the drivers side took the longest as the fuel filler pipe is in the way, passenger side was much easier.

As soon as I get chance I will fit the mud shields to the front of the rear wheels but ran out of time today. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy
