We used to live in Manchester in the sixties, I seem to remember a place called Whalley Range,...is that any where near?...I went to William Hume Grammar. Pickles. |

Thanks cakey. yes, the name bought back memories for me. I can remember playing Rugby in the snow on the sportsground on Saturday afternoons (we had lessons in the morning & sport in the afternoon, I was never impressed with having to attend on a Saturday!), sometimes when it was snowing, & the ground was like concrete....those were the days....a long time ago.
Thanks, Pickles. |

Toothbrush and white spirit - cleaned with a fresh damp cloth after .. same way I do my teeth..
Pretty robust component, well made, only takes 15min tops to get it out. The dirt was like wet oily tar which can't be good. I'm fairly confidant its helped a lot with performance. Guide http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f67/removing...98286.html |

Changed engine, transfer box, gearbox, front and rear diff oils today, as well as associated filters etc.
Some weren't quite due but nice to know they're done, and gave me a chance to see what came out. Stuff pretty clean on the whole, little bit of metal swarf on the transfer box sump plug but not a lot. Made a whole lot easier having a good set of ramps! Off to London tomorrow for last bit of uni, first job when I'm back for summer will be waxoyl after a good hot jetwash underneath to protect it from the north wales oceans and beaches which I hope to spend a lot of time around this summer!
