United Kingdom 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Orkney Grey
I get mine serviced after 5 years, or when it needs it (i.e. gains or loses too much time).

On mine, that's the recommendation.

If they are running well, I owuld go past 5 years...maybe up to 7 years.

The costs vary by model, but between £400 and £600 dependant on model.

They DO come back looking awesome, and with a certificate of service (which increases the value of the watch). Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

I decided to treat myself to a Rplex Explorer 2 a few years ago, so I flew out to Geneva to buy it. As well as being made in Geneva, it's a little known fact that Rolex have their one and only shop there. I saved a bit of money by buying it there as well....

To be honest I bought it mainly to hand down to my little boy one day in the future, so it gets little wear. So for my 40th last year I bought myself an Omega Planet Ocean ....

My interest in watches is that they tell the time (accurately) they are visible in the dark and that they are robust enough to take a few bangs and crashes. My function over form, Suunto Core fulfills and surpasses all my time keeping needs.

I have a Tag Kirium which I bought 14 years ago and I can count on both hands how many times I have worn it.

Had mine four years now, and oddly enough a letter arrived from Goldsmiths yesterday asking me to arrange a service. Cheer than the Defender hopefully. Ian One wife - livid

Watches are another passion of mine and i've been quite lucky to own a few, sadly most have gone now.

Ive had Rolex and they are nice but imo the recent price rises have put them well into the high end makers, I owned a Glashutte for around 1 year, slightly more than a Rolex DSSD but the quality was in another league.

Probably the 2 missed the most are a Breitling Superocean Heritage 46 and and a Brequet XXI in rose gold.

I will try and dig out a few pics

I swapped my Submariner for a Defender in 2006 Mr. Green

My favorite watch now I've only just bought, it's a Land Rover diving watch with rubber strap that I bought off a forum member for £20 Cool

Breitling Cosmonaute 1997 Serie Speciale with glass bottom and one of the old movements. Shame they gave up producing the Cosmonautes and the movements, only the Navytimers are left
