does the pedal go to the floor with the engine running or not once brake pressure has been reached.
does it stop well currently? could be fluid leaking past the piston seal in the MC or if the pedal is slowly sinking with the engine running it may in fact all be good, esp if you have a good vac/oversized one. i run the same setup as you on two vehicles. one 84, the other 93regs. i have also fitted disco brake servos to them both as they are bigger with great res of vac. they are not autos so need a little more brake use than a man, esp off road. the 93reg one, does similar to what you describe, in that you can find brake pressure and stop but the pedal very slowly continues to drop a bit. i fitted new servos, pipes, pistons the lot, then spoke to someone with far more knowledge that stated some newer cars do that anyway. It does brake quite well. But I do have the idea the brake pressure fades away while holding the brake pedal pressed in.
I can imagine that being quite scary while offroading and having to hold it steady on a steep hill. So any one know what master brake cylinder i need? David |

how many ports does it have?
how far down does the pedal go? once it has stopped moving do you loose braking ability? Cheers James 110 XS Utility 130 Puma Station wagon/camper (in the making) 90 Puma Hardtop |

It has two ports. One for the front and one for the rear brakes.
I can push it in 3/4 of the total travel Have not tried to see if it holds pressure on the brakes. |

i will see what i have hear and check against MPN for 2 port.
does it stop at the 3/4 travel if it holds the brake pressure then you dont have an issue. Cheers James 110 XS Utility 130 Puma Station wagon/camper (in the making) 90 Puma Hardtop |
