I have been cavity waxing this week and am now cursing the twin washer conversion. Those holes give excellent access for the top of the bulkhead. I now have to strip my dash down to gain access, unless I can find some other way to access it.
What sealing gaskets have you found? I just silicones mine in place and it has let go. Also, the jets you bought from ebay, are they the longer ones? Mine are britpart and will be too short to fit washers I think. 2002 110 td5 |

I have just had a quick look on ebay and it looks like mine are the longer ones. The shorter ones are way too short! Let me know how you get on fitting the washer

The washer jets I bought were genuine ones and when I took out one of the grommets it looked like it would fit fine. I didn't even realise there was a shorter version. As for the gasket, in my old job as a panel beater I collected lots of random parts over the years and while looking through the other day I found what looked like a defender door hinge spacer but larger and in 3mm rubber with perfect size holes for the thread on the washer jet, so I just marked around the washer jet and cut it out for a great fit. ![]() ![]() ![]() Ray |
