Side Steps / bars / sliders
Does anyone have some links for nice side bars/steps/sliders that fit a 110?

My 4 year old son is struggling to get into the car and id also like a bit of protection...

My daughter bought some of these for her 90. They're a cracking piece of kit, so much that I nearly bought a pair to replace the sliders on my 90 (which have nothing wrong with them). The bar that comes out from the slider is big and chunky and always used as a step up into the car. The only caveat was they weren't the fastest delivery as they were probably made to order (as she had jacking points added), but they were well worth the wait!

There are many different versions of rock sliders, rock and tree sliders (nerf bars) and steps available on the market.

Our preferred finish is for hot dipped galvanised followed by powder coating. Simple reason being that when they see 'action' the powder coating or paint will be damaged. If they are not hot dipped galvanised underneath they will quickly rust and blown off more powder coating. Most of the rock and tree sliders at the less expensive price range are NOT hot dipped galvanised.

Rock and tree sliders can be used as a step for the taller, more athletic people. However for smaller, younger people, less agile people they can prove awkward. Also the smaller diameter tube used for the nerf bar/tree slider can be awkward.

We suggest the use of anti slip tape on top of the nerf bar/tree slider but do not take it down the outside edge. Can be painful on bare legs and damaging to clothing if taken down the outside.

The OP mentioned his 4 year old son so rock and tree sliders is probably not the best choice in his case.

We have the Safari Equip hot dip galv then powder coated rock and tree sliders on our 3 Defenders. Yes they have seen some action Thumbs Up
