I've got 15x10" modulars on mine with 33x12.5" tyres on, and they are quite a bit wider than 285's, whilst I was researching what tyres to fit I checked loads of forums and pictures and I'm sure you will be fine, I had to fit extended wheel arches to mine. Don't really help I know....

I too have 15 x 10s with tyres of a 'High Flotation' size of 32 X 11.5. They too protrude from the arches. There are conversion charts (one on here somewhere) and on Google that convert High Flotation sizes to European so you could get an idea what size is best for you.

285's on 0 offset 8" the tread is just under the arch, with a 0 offset 10" your lock will suffer and rim / sidewall will be well outside the arch.

Andrew I am currently running 285s on 16 x 8 Mod rim and sit just outside the arch...
Well to be honest in thru land rover fashion they protrude on one side and level on the other ! ![]() N. ![]() Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() |
