Had an idea that zip ties might be easier for the seats.
Cut the Hogrings to remove, then on refit use Zip ties ![]() Still got Pass Front backrest to cover so will try it and report back ![]() |

Great thread, and really useful! Thanks.
![]() One question - why are all the seatbacks on the rear seat different in terms of the panelling? I can understand the centre being a different pattern, but why are the outers so different (six panels on the o/s, 3 panels on the n/s, and one panel on the centre)?

I didn't know the seatbacks were different until I installed them.
They are both Gen LR parts but I don't know why, maybe why I got them on the cheap. ![]() EDIT: Different MY on the XS had a change at some point, I have both ![]() Last edited by Tiger on 7th Mar 2014 2:22pm. Edited 1 time in total |

What type of material is that, surely not Alcantara?

No, it's nothing like alcantara.
More like a massive sheet of Fuzzy Felt |

Sod's muther cooking law!!
So after battling with bar steward f-ing hog rings retiming every seat I did the last one tonight, just the back of a front was left. I had a thought that rather than carefully bending each hogging out and than reshaping it ready to be re-used I could try zip ties So I did, and they work soooo much better they are easier faster better!! And to get the old covers off you can just use side cutters to clip the old rings off ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge What a muppet! |
