Both! If you haven't got air conditioning to keep the vehicle demisted the heated screen is an excellent idea. I love the fact that on a frosty morning there's no faffing about with de-icer or credit card scraping. Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

They are an absolutely brilliant invention. I don't yet have a Defender but I bought a pair for the S2A via a club group buy 3 years ago. Would never be without it now. One hero in the S2 club has organised two group buys for over 150 of them at a hugely reduced price. Might be worth a punt with a group buy here?

And a yes from me, I had one put in when I had a screen change due to damage to the old screen. I paid the difference on the replacement through the insurance claim. The wiring I did myself for about £25 including a genuine switch though they have shot up in price nowadays.

I also agree. Don't know why all manufacturers offer this, unless Ford has some sort of patent on it.

Obviously
p.s. When you have it installed, try to make sure immediately you don't have any bad elements (hope for a cold day) - they are easily broken, as LR proved when refitting mine in Summer. Only just noticed But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Just reading up a bit on the wiring, I have a second battery so will be going to that for power but I see some people wire it so it only works while engine is running, is this the norm ?
