Gibraltar 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Baltic Blue
Gearbox problem
I find that when I go from third to second gear it does not go in gear and till I bring the defender rely slow it happens in first gear to. Can anyone give advice what is wrong. I have a land rover and love it.

Is there adequate quantity and quality oil in the transmission?

I changed the oil about month back and is still the same. I have a land rover and love it.

I've given up counting the times I have whinged about this to stealers, LR and on here...
Mine is consistently crap, but I've changed my gear change habits to accommodate...
1st to 2nd is shocking, 2nd to third is becoming very notchy, neutral to 1st usually has a noticable jolt forwards... Not good....

Keep logging the faults with the stealers, and LR cust services, then if / when it goes tits up out of warranty you may have a legit claim..

Personally, I am going to look for a heavy duty MT-82 to transplant into mine when it finally dies... ... ,-------,

According to the "highly trained technicians", the standard response is "That's what they are like, live with it.."
