We had a bad experience at Whitton Castle. The site looked great when we first booked in but was a nightmare
Late on we were woken up by drunken campers hurling abuse at the site warden then one pilchard decided to practice his rally driving skills at 2am. Needless to say we packed the tent as soon as it was light and left never to return.
We have a caravan and several tents.

admit, you get the rowdy lot, folk that let their kids run riot round by the loo's and play area...any campsites like that. We use this site maybe 2-3 times a year, we do camp, not caravan, and found these pitches to be very big......4 LR 110 DC's 4 tents, plenty room. The pub / club on site is bang on, you can walk down Tissington trail into Ashbourne and take in the sights or take you bikes and cycle it.......Its what you make of your camping experience there that counts.. Putting Dreams on Drives at JLR Solihull..
