Help
Stuck in mid Wales, after driving 3/4 to snowdon, I've lost all brakes, went spongy and then lost all brakes! Went straight through a junction!. Now very scared!. Been fine up to this point. Did have new discs and pads fitted a few months ago. Ideas needed please??

Make sure the pads are still there....... The lining can sometimes fall off.... Check all pipes for leaks whilst assistant is pressing brake, check servo area for leaks. If all these look good, it could be the ABS block (this failed on mine).

Check the rear brake pipe that around the rear diff. If not set up correctly it wears through on the tank and Censored all the fluid out.

You can use pipe clamp or mole grips on the flex pipe from chassis to axle to get you safe.

If there is no brake fluid loss, and the master cylinder reservoir is still full, then I would say its an internal leak past the piston in the master cylinder. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Ok so very nice man from rac came spent sometime going all over it. After jacking it up and spinning the wheels, checking pipes etc, found slight leak from drivers rear hub seal leaking onto the caliper? Then found drivers side front wheel was slightly tighter when spinning it, so he took the wheel off stripped the brake pads out and found that the pistons coming through the caliper were quite pitted and rusted and were sticking. So he rubbed the down and cleaned them up. They moved much more freely, and so after testing it round the car park . I drove the rest of the way to Criccieth All be it much slower.

currently in berkshire land rover, servo was doing nothing- no pressure at all, master cylinder has leak at bottom, fuel pressure reg is leaking, the list goes on, and i thought it was quite reliable!. fixing it is breaking my little bank!

whats ummm mean't to mean, last indy garage i took it to said all my discs were shot, (they weren't) thought i'd take a leap of faith and try again, as our mechanic is too busy and needed a special tool for the brakes last time. what experience have YOU had with them?

Best of luck I got to fix a truck after they 'sorted the brakes' it came away with different sized calipers on it!

I use fw4x4 in Wattlington great quality of work at a reasonable price.
