Mintex pads that i've used don't have shims on the back. I just put copper grease on the back of the pads and pop them in. Never had a problem.

I just replaced my pads using genuine LR parts and they had no shims, just the additional bit stuck on the back.

Same as me, shims on old pads, but none on new pads. Just put copper grease on the backs and popped then in. No probs, all good. ![]() Col. 1979 Series 3 109 FFR (ex Aust Army.) 2006 Defender TD5 110. 2012 Trackabout CT. |
