New member and new to Defenders.
Hi, I recently bought a defender (2014) and noticed an issue when selecting gears. The gear stick re-centers when I change up from 2nd gear, so that 3rd gear is easy to find, but when I'm in 5th and try to change down to 4th, the gear stick doesn't recenter (making it difficult to find 4th). I've subsequently fitted a slick shift, which has made the gear box much tighter, but still the same issue. Is this the way it is designed? Per pictures on this forum - I've removed the transfer case and selector unit and accessed the yoke. I've noticed (when pushed) the yoke springs back one way, but not the other. Anyone seen this issue before (if it is an issue)? Thanks |

Hi,
Long shot but does anyone have a number for Pete at BAS or any other way of getting hold of him please? I’ve tried the one on his website and just ringing out. Am currently in Bogotá Colombia waiting for him to send a remap email with my car in pieces and need to avoid having to pay them to put it back together again so I can drive somewhere to stay whilst I wait for his email 😬 Thanks Huw |

Have you checked your email junk directory to see if it’s there.
There is a dealer 24 hr support line you could try Technical Line: 0871 2884656 (Dealer 24hr Support) |

Hi all, so I’ve just fitted electric window mechanisms including central locking into my 2009 puma 90. It has all of the connections for central locking in the door post which I’ve connected. It also has I’m presuming the correct module with the small aerial wire coming out behind the dash. It was not been fitted with central locking before . So my question, Is there an easy way to code some fobs to see whether my central locking system works as a plug and play as I have as far as I can see central locking mechanisms fitted in the door, cabling, correct green module behind the dash with antenna wire and hopefully all necessary relays fitted (as there was with the electric windows) or am I hoping for a moon on a stick here? Love to hear your thoughts.

You should post as a new topic in the TDCI section. Not in this topic as this is just is just to announce the TDCI section has been created to post TDCI related questions.
