New key . . . Anyone noticed any defference
Hello, just wondering if anyone's noticed that the winkers take a while longer to flash, also, got outta mine yesterday, left keys in as normal, went bk 5 mins later, tried starting, turned over but no fire then was like it had a flat battery, my gues was the immobiliser had kicked in, took keys out, locked and unlocked and started up fine? Cheers jammer 90 Puma HT

No difference. Yes, immobiliser. You should have seen red indication near bottom of left hand dial.

My 2011 Puma came missing one key. I got one ordered in and it was arranged for my nearest dealer to programme it.This is not where I bought the vehicle. When this key is inserted, the red light on the dash stays on and the vehicle will not start. When the lock/unlock blip is used and key inserted and turned, the vehicle starts. This leads me to think it is a programming glitch as the original key works fine. I don't think it is much to worry about, just lock/unlock before you start. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

You do have 2 of the " lock/unlock blip's" or FOB's , one for each key? Because it is the FOB which contains the chip/electronics for the engine immobiliser not the key and the FOB has to be close to the antenna in the steering column. Whistle LANDYWATCH

Yep, my second key has the fob, so I still maintain it is a glitch with the programming. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

In that case you are probably correct. The programming is not correct. Thumbs Up LANDYWATCH

I've had a similar problem with both the original fob and the combined fob/key.
At random intervals the engine will turn over, almost start then stop, further attempts to start result in the engine not turning over, a lock/unlock cycle usually results in an instant start.
I would guess that it is an immobiliser problem but have not had the time (or the Nanocom with me) when it happens to diagnose in more depth.

Try resynchronising the fobs to the 10AS. They do go out of synch sometimes and the pre programmed resynch is to lock and unlock using the fob 4 times. Thumbs Up
