It may be cheaper and less time consuming to get a 2nd hand front axle ????

I did exactly what you said when I was doing my rebuild, a few motnhs back.
Bought the Britpart kit, as I figured the ball would be ok, and all the gaskets are expensive separately. I then bought a load of OE (Corteco) seals. All these were from paddocks. I then bought Timken bearings. Paddocks didn't do those ones then (might now), think I got them off ebay. |

I didn't want to attempt doing mine for my Series, so it was easier/cheaper to buy a new old stock from John Richards for £250! I know a guy who was charged £900 to recon his Series front axle ![]() ![]() |
