QT diff guards

Has anyone had experience or have fitted the Puma RHD QT services diff guards on their Defender? Interested as they seem to offer good protection (better than I currently have) I know Killer has some TD5 one's.

Have one in the front. Rock solid and very well made to sail over rocks. Heavy though. Puma 110" SW

I expect they are but at least that will mean it's strong. Do you have any pictures? I only have the clamp on £20 - £30 ones right now and I doubt they'd mke much difference and certainly wouldn't act as a slider.

I have not QT but similar guard on front and plan to fit another to rear diff. Clamp on guards sometimes tend to turn when hit. Puma 110

I've got QT guards front and rear, and they're excellent. They're pretty much bomb-proof, and are probably the first thing I would fit on any new Defender.

I have them front and rear as well, as above very nice well-made bits of kit.

Important to have one on the rear as you're just as likely to reverse over something nasty, mine has a protector for the diff pinion as well on the rear which is handy. Clouted both of mine on Welsh rocks and English tree stumps and they've both done their jobs well

My front one will get removed when I finally get around to swapping the front axle casing out, but only because the new casing will have a heavy-duty sump pan on it which negates the need for a diff-guard

agree with all the positive points, front and rear, just don't paint them a nice colour to show them off, they look crap very quickly, black waxoyl to stop the scrapes rusting every time,

Now that does look good! As someone mentioned I don't think the clamps ons would be much use anyway even if hit.

I know the one's they are either Red or black only trouble is they are weld on which is out the question for me but no doubt brilliant and look great!

Never bashed the rear diff in 20 odd years off offroad driving.

Nor have I in a mere two years but I guess there is always a first time. Wales with plenty of rocks and granite would be the sort of area to watch I would imagine.

I had to ream out one of the mounting holes on the rear one to allow it to fit as the hole was out by a ba** hair.

So other than the one mounting hole issue you had they're a simple bolt on / off?
