Fuel Pressure Regulator
On the TD5 FPR what does the dome part do ?
While tracing an oil leak I found oil under the dome and wondered what it did?

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator
That's the actual fuel pressure regulator. The rest of the bits are the housing n ports etc.
I'm not sure why there would be oil under there. You sure its not diesel you saw? Only Alcohol Can Save me Now

That's where the fuel normally leaks from, from what I can glean.

Apparently the O ring kits don't work that well, better to change the whole unit. and i've also heard (unsuprisingly) that $hitpart ones leak after about 300 yards.

Mine needs doing on the 110 too. Rolling Eyes

Just change it, did mine ages so cos I thought it was an oil leak turn out the leaking diesel just takes oily crap off the side of the engine as it drips and it looks like oil

Ot mega difficult just awkward to reach the bottom bolt

I don't think it was diesel, seemed too thick for that and quite black. I am thinking its oil that has dripped down from on high.
I did find the front cam seal leaking all over the front of the head, so thats been cleaned and the back of the head had a very mild bit of oil. 1999 Defender TD5 110
