Job hunting
I appreciate this is a Landrover forum, but in this day and age its not what you know its who you know isn't it?

Since the closure of my business I have been doing bits and bobs of lorry driving, but can't seem to find anything permanent - I have class 2 and a clean license. Just figured I would throw it out there as you never know who is reading - if anyone wants a hard-working employee then get in touch...

Cheers. 2011 110 USW

Dan

PM me your contact details, can't promise anything but might have something soon as one of my chaps is emigrating and is in the process of sorting out dates as to when he's going, he's not sure yet as to go soon or wait till summer when he has saved some more but he will give me 3 weeks notice anyhow.

You could be the right chap, going up and down the country in my 90 or D3 Thumbs Up

You don't want the pond clearing job then that someone has just called and asked to be done? No, nor me! Laughing Off to do a nice fencing job instead Wink

Bad news Sad but try an agency truck driving for the time being to gain some experience and maybe a class 1 and your bound to find something more stable. That said its long hours and generally an awful job but an honest living with potential to make decent money, most company's use the agency's to find the reliable drivers.

Good luck with the search. Thumbs Up Formerly mao99999

I know your plight mate, since we moved down in September it took until January for my wife to get a temporary job.
And unfortunately I'm not in your line of work so can't help. Russell

Keep suggesting it Dan but gardening £160 per day, can use clients tools so no need for any outlay initially or hire if you need a petrol hedger for instance - if you can mow grass, cut a hedge and clear up leaves your quids in. Loads of work around especially this year as the weather has been so warm, still cutting grass Wink

You pick up odd job work as well painting/repairing sheds, fencing, inside decorating when it rains, any odd jobs really all easy to do Very Happy

If you are planning a family and want a home I would cut loose the Defender it's a mad financial cost, you have your 88" & 109" You've been there and done the Defender thing, it's probably time to move forward and use any work income to get your family sorted Wink Good luck mate Thumbs Up

I'm not needed until midday today, so I doubt I will be home before midnight. That then means tomorrow I can't start until probably ten even if I have a reduced daily rest. Vicious cycle.

Take care when you drive long hours.

Wish me luck. Live, Love, Pray
