How much! Shocked WOuld rather have Lightforce personally as at that cost highly likely to get stolen. Paranoia see. Not so worried about the 90 getting nicked but more what get's nicked off of it Confused

Xmitter + highbeams. The difference is even greater IRL

The length of the xmitter isn't up to some spotlights standards, but still way better than the standard bulbs. The spread and colour though is immense.

hi FG,

what exactly is wrong with the t/f wheels?

please could you put up a photo of the led bar wire(s) enter the vehicle ? did you fit a plug ?

cheers

I've used a special two-piece plug that is suppose to be idiot-proof and completely watertight. The only fitting option was to go through the roof. Topped up with plenty of bathroom sealant, no leaks as of yet. (at least none that can be credited to this installation...*knocks on wood*)

Admittedly, I have had thoughts of this as well. I didn't want the rack and LEDbar to be permanently mounted to the 90, but I didn't want it to be easily removed by some idiot thief with a spanner and a wrench. I've combined special locking bolts with spot welds and to my mind it won't be going off without causing lots of noise and seriously hard work. As we all know to well, there's probably half a dozen other things that can be stolen of the defender with a lots less hassle Evil or Very Mad .

As I wrote earlier I wondered why in the h*ll the window washer jets was so weak? Didn't remember them being quite so rubbish in the td5.

Had it in the workshop today for some work, found out that the alarm pack had somehow pressed on the tube and had made a small dent in the tube. Sorted now and all of a sudden the 90 is ready to again go on the motorways. A bit difficult before when the jets hardly reaced the lower parts of the windscreen, quite alot of grime to get off this part of the year.

Was given a Freelander2 as a loaner. Quiet, quicker to get warm, better seat heating, nice stereo, but...
Was happy to get the defender back. Character goes a long way, and in comparison the F'lander's got nuthin on the Defender

Gave it a good clean. Much nicer to clean something really dirty, that way you really notice the difference.
The winter tyres get changed this weekend. Then to paint the chequerplates black.

Nice and clean!

Then, when going to the cottage during Easter, came this bloody surprise!

It's not directly clean anymore...

As for rattling windows, find some thin rubber strips( or anything to pack any gaps) and stuff them between glass and frame......it solved mine Thumbs Up

My rear side windows were Rattling as well. But over the winter I took them apart to get them tinted and when reinstalling I found the cure to the Rattling. You need to put lock tite on the two bolt that hold the middle metal bar. If you tight those two screws too much it makes the sliding impossible. No more rattling in my 110. there are easier fix I know but mine were taken apart so it was easy but it is definately the cause of rattling, the get loose.

Had some more work done. Chequerplate now black, which IMHO suits the motor better, what do you think?
Currently looking at new tyres, 235 on a 8" rim i a bit of a stretch.

No, never had any problems with that. More problems with reflections from roadsigns that are so bright they dazzle you in the night with the leds are turned on...
