Winter leak
I was overoptimistic about behaviour of my car in extremely low temperatures.
She started-up nicely today in the morning at -26'C, only to make this for me:

Any ideas what may be leaking? I will have a chance to look closed after the weekend.
It is just left from the notorious vacuum pump, but the pump itself looks all right.

Have a nice weekend! Janusz

Fuel pressure pump is next to the vacuum pump.

Mine was leaking, not as bad as that, and repaired.

So, there is a leak at the crankshaft seal.
But is ceased and does not leak anymore Confused

As it only happened at -26'C and heavy load (towing frosted cheerokee Smile ) I suspect the sealing was not functioning properly.

I will look at that place regularly and see how it develops. Janusz

search/ask for the heated engine breather pipe

Standard on scandinavian puma's but not for the rest of europe. These low temps freeze the pipe shut and you get overpressure with possibly this leak as result.

see lasts posts in link: http://www.devon4x4.com/index.php?option=c...;Itemid=81

BTW, great pictures and trip in the link
