Safari Snorkel air filter question!
I am taking my 110 for it's first service tomorrow and was wondering about the air filter! I fitted a Safari Snorkel but I'm pretty sure I left the air filter in place Shocked Should I have done that? How can it be replaced if the snorkel is permanently covering the wing hole. I've thrown the instructions away so don't know if it should still be in place or not!

It's this one http://www.safarisnorkel.com/snorkel/ss581hf/ss581hf.htm

The air filter box is at the front of the car,, the RAI at the rear, both connected with pipework,,

You should not have touched the air box filter lid,, They can change the filter (if they even open the box !!???? ) without touching the RAI California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

I'm talking about the wing air filter, do pay attention at the back! How do you replace it from inside or should I have taken the filter out before fitting the Snorkel? Anyone know or got fitting instructions! Ta.

I have a nasty feeling I should have removed the filter before fitting the snorkel Shocked Can't find any instructions on the web, old Def2 links not working!

Yes there is a filter the same shape as the side wing hole, I don't think it should be there with the Snorkel on as I can't see any easy way of replacing it from inside the wing. Unless someone who knows otherwise I think I could be having fun and games getting it back out again i.e. base of Snorkel will need unscrewing or more likely the whole snorkel will need to come off altogether to get it out Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked If I can't get at it from inside which I don't think I can Big Cry

No filter behind the wing plate on mine (2009 110).

Just frozon my doo dahs off going out to the garage to double check in my box of 'bits removed' and just the plastic plate.

Of course land Rover may have forgotten to fit it Rolling with laughter

All the dealer does at service time is replace the filter in the air box - if they can be bothered Thumbs Up
