Tyre sizes for 110 and Gearing issues?
The 110 comes with 750x16 as standard, and of course hardly anyone keeps these on, and most enthusiasts cars are on modulars/boosts etc with larger more aggressive looking tyres.

So, which sizes are OK for the 110 so as to not upset the gearing and the speedo?

I am going to guess that...

235/85/16 might change the gearing slightly but not very noticeable

265/75/16 and 285/75/16 are the same gearing as 750s

The sizes I don't understand are those such as 31.10.50x15 etc but as these are 15" I wouldn't consider them anyway.

When I get my Defender I plan to have some modulars with a MT pattern (most likely Insa Turbo Dakar) and 265/75/R16s on. Am I looking at the right size? 2016 D4 HSE

235.85R16 and 265.74R16 are both pretty much the same as 750.

(235 (width)x 0.85(aspect ratio) x 2 )/25.4 + 16 = tyre height in inches

31.10.50x15 = 31" tyre height, 10.5" wide on 15" rim Cheers

a td5 will pull the gearing fine with 285's. not sure about a 300 110. a puma has a lower first gear so again i can't see any issues

I've got the Insa Turbo Dakkars on mine in 265/75 16, while they're not to bad on the road handling wise just be aware that it's like having a set of military bar grips on for noise Shocked Even though it doesn't bother me too much I am aware that I have to turn up the radio a fair bit and it still doesn't drown out the drone Whistle

I am running 285/75x16 KL71s on my Puma 110 with no issues. The speedo is spot on measured with a Robic (home office approved) device, and I usually pull away from rest in 2nd.
