Painting black wheel arch eyebrows
Do you have to prep these in any special way before you paint these body coloured? I seem to recall seeing in LRO years back that the plastic won't take the spray paint unless it has a special primer or something?

Have I imagined it?

Is it as easy as just a coat of primer and then a few coats of colour and some coats of clear lacquer? 2016 D4 HSE

you need to mix a plasticizer into the paint otherwise the paint will start to crack any car paint shop will sell this just mix it in then it is just prep and spray Smile Thumbs Up

if you are spraying black arches black just to clean them up it will be ok with out Smile

sprayed mine black about 3 months ago now, they have been fine since, i just gave them a wash, then dried them, quick wipe with some meths then i gave them a couple of coats of black matt spray, i used halfords bumper spray paint, 1 tin of it just cost a few quid if i remember rightly and this was enough to spray them with a few coats. biggest pain was putting masking tape round the shape of all 4 eyebrows as i couldnt be bothered removing them to spray them.
