and what if we just unplug the EGR connector? MIL lights, OK, but does the engine still work fine with EGR disconnected? Is there any risk? Does the ECU fall into degraded mode?

It was the aux. tank transfering into main one.

There is an easy fix! Just unplug it. You will get a MIL warning light which is easily cleared with a Scangauge if it bothers you, but after a while you won't notice.

What kind of oil did you put in your gearbox?
As the recommanded one does not exist anymore, I do not know which oil I must get to refill mine.
