How about bypassing the ignition but instead of just splicing the cables together connect them via a switch (possibly in a concealed location)?

That way when you leave the vehicle you can disengage ...

The dealers are refusing to do the work as they claim the service record is incomplete.

I bought the vehicle at two years old and the 12,000 mile service was done ...

Both issues were found on a routine service and the dealer showed me the recall (not recall but can't remember what they're called) paperwork.

You can get aftermarket bulkhead removal kits. They're pretty straightforward (although you have to feel comfortable taking an angle iron to your truck).

I had them on 16x8 steel modulars (20mm extra offset) steering was fine due to offset, same as my 235/85s on boosts.

Back end just clipped the eyebrows and I got a few strange clunks when at limits ...
