Quick warning, it turned out that the threads in the central boss to pull from were 1/4 UNF not M6........

Built in 2007..... And still a mix of UNF and metric.......

I have tried the rocking and hammering, but without success - but I did keep the nut on, just in case.

I have now ordered a proper steering wheel puller.

I'm after a magic tip / trick.

I am trying to remove the steering wheel to replace the indicator / dim / dip / horn switch.

It looks like the steering wheel has been fixed onto the splined steer ...

I changed the two UJs on the rear propshaft last night, and the vibration is much reduced.
Tonight? I'll change the front ones as well.

i dont believe they have any set way of being lined up, could be 90deg out to each other and then balanced. check by removing and driving in diff lock to see if its the prop first.

Same here. 160,000Kms in 6 1/2 years.

Only a few minor niggles but nothing that has stopped the show. Real pleasure!

Largest charge is the diesel.
