Quick update on the progress so far…

A full set of Melvill & Moon seat cover was fitted a few weeks ago - definitely added a nice touch to the car.

Got the car back from the specialist and although the clutch and FW needed replacing, it turns out the car was fitted w a discovery TD5 ECU, which is the reason why it doesn’t really run brilliantly ...

I have now taken the car to a specialist for him to fit an LOF power clutch kit. Can’t wait to get it back to see if that cured the ailment.

In the process of doing the springs and shock absorbers all around… hasn’t been as easy as I was expecting. Cutting a long story short, the rears are done. Will do the front this coming week end

Thanks for the suggestions - I have ran out of day light now. I will try to put more washers in between the plate and the seats tomorrow and use longer bolts.

You can add a few washers between the spring mount and the retainer plate. Those bolts are M10, and can easily bend 4mm plate. I would also rotate the spring just a bit clockwise, so the second coil i ...

Quick update on some of the jobs done today…

- removal of winch and heavy duty bumper (that’s 50kg off the car)
- fitting new galvanised bumper
- replaced the side mirror arms with shorter on ...
