Yes I tried with the 6 sided socket… that didn’t work and only got me to damage the bolt… it’s now rounded and totally unremovable with anything else than a wrench.

What sort of tool is required to remove it even if I destroy it?
Also, the later defender metal casing model you just mentioned; is that a straight swap? Or the cooler housing needs to be replaced ... |

I had a look and the top of the engine has quite of bit of oil. Could it be the rocker cover seal that’s gone? The car only has 40k miles… feels early to pack up no?
