You don't need a button for an oil slick.
They can manage that all by themselves!

Looks very similar to mine which I changed before Christmas.
All the fins had corroded at the bottom and the lower edge was bowed.
Mine wasn't leaking but it wouldn't have been long.

It's a very common fault unfortunately.
The oil travels back down the injector loom all the way back to the ecu.
The fix is to change the injector loom which is straight forward and not too expensiv ...

I would definitely change the starter relay as they are not expensive.
The relay is in the row under the main fuse box.
Ignition switches can also play up so would be worth checking.

The unit is behind the dash along with a few of the relays on the Td5.

I have a similar set up which is an electrical supply for the valve block on my hydraulic winch.
It definitely looks like a secondary electrical supply of some sort.

Thanks, there was a few minutes whilst she was smoking I was really nervous.
Good point cupboard it could still be a wiring issue.
I think the normal mode of failure is for the solenoid to stick on ...
